The Bride
Kelly was born in Kentucky and raised in Joplin, Missouri. After graduating from Joplin High School in 1991, she attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, earning a Bachelor's of Science in Education majoring in English and minoring in Vocal Performance.
Upon graduation in 1995, she took a teaching position with the Russell County Unified School District in Russell, Kansas. For three years, she taught high school English, directed plays, and coached athletics. In 1998, she accepted a similar position at Holden High School in Holden, Missouri. The summer of 2000 saw her return to school at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri, to work on her Master's in School Counseling. While attending classes part-time in the evenings, she worked full-time first at Lafayette County C-1 High School in Higginsville, Missouri teaching English and then at Clinton High School in Clinton, Missouri as a high school counselor.
After a year in the Metro Detroit area, Kelly and Anthony moved back to Joplin. Currently, Kelly works as the Academic Coordinator for the Upward Bound program at N.E.O. A. & M. College in Miami, Oklahoma.
The Groom
Anthony is a lifelong Michigan resident, mostly residing in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak. He is a 1995 Honors graduate of George A. Dondero High School in Royal Oak, where he dabbled in just about every conceivable activity, from athletics to underwater basket-weaving. As President of his Junior and Senior classes, he gave a commencement speech that remains unforgettable to this day, for reasons unbeknownst to him. His quest for education continues as he will soon (let's hope) finish an Associate's degree in Law Enforcement/Security Management and decide on the right program for a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice with a Security/Loss Prevention focus.
Three mainstays define his employment history: Main Art Theatre, where he developed a passion for work and a strong work ethic; Blockbuster, where he learned how to give until it hurt and eventually get used by the corporate system; and Target, where he learned how to rebuild and see things from the other side of the coin (as an entry-level peon). Sure, there were other jobs in between, but as placeholders, the less said the better. He is currently employed by Target Stores in the Loss Prevention division where he feels successful and envisions a long, healthy career (again, let's hope).
When not working, Anthony enjoys the company of his fiance', pop culture, and professional wrestling. How very strange indeed.
