Missouri Reception

The reception in Missouri will take place immediately following the ceremony.

The Reception Site

The reception will be held at the Hallar Building, Holden, Missouri's Community Center. The building is located just a block off of 2nd Street, Holden's main drag. The space is large, with a fully-equipped kitchen, and is reserved for the entire evening, affording attendees the opportunity to relax and enjoy the evening without worrying about a thing.

The Menu

No one attends a wedding reception for the party favors or the music, they come for the food!

We intend to serve a full buffet-style dinner for our guests, catered by Alewel's Country Meats in Warrensburg, Missouri. The menu will feature two meat selections (brisket and smoked chicken), baked potatoes, vegetables, salad, and other items. Soft drinks, tea, and coffee will also be served.

Of course, there will be cake. Wedding cake and cheesecake and other desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Directions

Getting from the Gardens to the reception site is quite simple.

• At the Gardens' exit, turn left onto Highway 50 East.
• Continue for 3.2 miles to the intersection of Highways 50 & 131. Here, there will be a sign for Holden, and a Texaco station on the southeast corner of the intersection. Turn right (south) on Highway 131.
• Continue south for 9 miles to the intersection of Highways 131 & 58.
• Turn left (east) onto Highway 58. You are now on Holden's 2nd Street.
• Continue east on 2nd Street three blocks to the intersection of 2nd and Main Streets.
• Turn right (south) on Main Street. Continue one block south to 3rd Street.
• The Hallar Building is adjacent the Holden Public Library. You may park legally on the streets around the building.
